CECDFW Program Highlights by the Numbers (2023–2025)

Animal Rescue & Rehoming • 33 dogs rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed since early 2023

• 28 lost dogs reunited with their original families through community response and outreach

• 59 dogs temporarily held or transported in coordination with partner rescues

• 13 guinea pigs and 4 chinchillas rescued, stabilized, and placed into sanctuary care

• 5 monkeys rescued and provided lifetime sanctuary

• 14 monkeys safely transported and/or temporarily held as part of rescue coordination with other primate sanctuaries and authorities

What We Offer

By keeping animals safe, fed, and loved during these transitions, we prevent emotional trauma, reduce mental-health decline, and remove one of the biggest barriers preventing people from accessing treatment, safety, and stability.

Additional human-support services include:

  • Emergency pet-food assistance

  • Low-cost vet-care navigation

  • ESA guidance for qualifying individuals

  • Lost-and-found reunification

  • Behavior & enrichment support

  • Nature-deficit wellness education

 

These programs promote stability, emotional wellbeing, and improved quality of life for individuals and families.

*** Services are dependent on availability, safety assessments, and organizational capacity. Temporary boarding may not always be available, and no-cost support is determined on a case-by-case basis. Certain situations, behavioral needs, medical requirements, or resource limitations may prevent us from accepting an animal at a given time. We encourage individuals to contact us as early as possible so we can explore options together and help connect you to additional resources if possible.***
