Meet Merlin & Arthur

Merlin & Arthur are lesser galagos, commonly known as a bushbaby, who are animal ambassadors for CECDFW. Their enormous eyes, incredible jumps, curious-kind personalities, and nighttime adventures introduce people to an animal many have never encountered before… connecting them to nature.

Their job is far bigger than simply being cute! Tax deductible contributions support the multifaceted work that the bushbaby’s reach makes possible.

Through Merlin and Arthur, CECDFW introduces people to animal welfare, wildlife conservation, biodiversity, endangered species, climate action, and the threats of poaching, exploitation, and illegal wildlife trafficking.

The Bushbaby brothers will inspire and connect people of all backgrounds to care about the ecosystems wildlife depends on, and become advocates for protecting them, as we’re all connected.

Conservation is something that anyone can do!

You do not need to be a scientist, own land, work directly with wildlife, travel into the field, or even have a yard to participate in conservation action.

CECDFW is developing practical resources that help people act from wherever they are through things like native planting, pollinator support, bird-safe windows, community science, responsible purchasing, habitat restoration, public comments, advocacy, corporate accountability, consumer pressure, policy engagement, and supporting effective conservation organizations.

We also develop education around difficult issues such as poaching, wildlife trafficking, exploitation, and habitat destruction so people understand what these threats actually mean for animals.

Individual choices matter, but large environmental problems also require wider action.

Bushbabies are small nocturnal primates native to Africa.CECDFW uses animal-ambassadors to connect people to larger issues including:

Animal welfare
Wildlife conservation
Biodiversity and habitat protection
Endangered species
Poaching and illegal wildlife trafficking
Wildlife exploitation
Marine-wildlife threats
Climate change
Environmental stewardship
Conservation advocacy and policy
